RV Investigator Voyage IN2024_V01 Capillary Inlet Mass Spectrometer (CIMS) Marine Sulfur Data

This dataset contains Capillary Inlet Mass Spectrometer (CIMS) measurements of dimethyl sulfide (DMS), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP) collected during the Multidisciplinary Investigations of the Southern Ocean (MISO) voyage aboard RV Investigator (IN2024_V01) between January and March 2024. The dataset includes discrete concentration measurements from water-column depth profiles, mesocosm time-series observations and shipboard incubation experiments. Isotopically labelled sulfur tracers were used to quantify DMS production from DMSP cleavage, DMS production from DMSO reduction and gross DMS consumption under contrasting light treatments and iron-enrichment mesocosm experiments. The dataset supports investigations of marine sulfur cycling, sulfur transformation processes and phytoplankton physiology in the Southern Ocean.
