Coral spat survival on inshore reefs is enhanced by foul-release-coated seeding devices
Updated: 2026-03-24
This data represents a set of environmental factors related to the survival rate of coral spat deployed on seeding devices with FRC protection in an inshore habitat. This data was collected because it allows interpretation on how these different variables differentially affect spat survival due to strong competition and provides significant evidence of the beneficial role of FRC protection to double survival rates one year after deployment. Data was collected from six experimental sites in the Keppel Islands (Woppaburra Sea Country) in November 2023 using underwater surveys and laboratory assessments. Data was analysed using generalised linear mixed effect model and ordination technique in a Bayesian approach and using R software.
