Rock Dredge Collection from RV Investigator Voyage IN2020_V01

This report documents the rock dredge dataset collected during the Marine National Facility research voyage IN2020_V01 aboard the RV Investigator between 10 January and 6 March 2020. Dredging was undertaken across William's Ridge and the Kerguelen Plateau to recover igneous and sedimentary rocks that constrain the tectonic evolution, hotspot magmatism, and crustal architecture of the region. The dataset provides detailed records of dredge locations, sample descriptions, lithologies, and curation information, forming a valuable resource for petrological, geochemical, and geochronological investigations. These samples support ongoing research into the geological development of the Kerguelen Plateau, the evolution of microcontinental fragments, and Australia's Extended Continental Shelf. The dredge collection was documented by Dr. Robyn Gardner (Macquarie University) and Dr. Derya Gürer (The University of Queensland) and is curated at the University of Tasmania (UTAS).
